Question on Door Finishing for MC Seals

I need to build up the area around the door pin guides to be flush with the door's inner surface. I was thinking of epoxy or strong filler, however, I am concerned that nothing will stick to UHMW material. I am wondering if the epoxy only bonds at the edges where the F/G is at, it may not be strong enough to hold on over the long haul.

I was considering forming a piece of F/G of the right thickness and bonding it at the edges with the door F/G. Wondering what creative methods others have used for this issue.

Thanks for any assistance.

EDIT: Just found Ivan's method of using balsa plywood and it looks like a good idea.

Filler

I just used some of the leftover door scraps from the trimming of the door windows. Instead of balsa wood, which I don't have on hand.

I just did epoxy with flox right on the scuffed UHMW blocks. I did use balsa wood for hinge covers.
