Question about throttle/mixture mount bracket for RV-10 IO-540

Just hung a Lycoming IO-540 with Airflow Performance Inc. FM-150 throttle body on a RV-10. The throttle lever is on the left side (top aft), and mixture lever on right side (lower forward).

The Firewall forward kit came with a VA-182 -PC KIT throttle/mixture bracket but this clearly won't work with the FM-150.

Can anyone with experience in this configuration share how they were able to implement their throttle/mixture bracket? Would a different Vans throttle/mixture mount bracket like the VA-149 work? Or one of the brackets Airflow Performance sells? Or maybe a roll your own implementation?
 
For the elastomer-mount upgrade for my 6A (IO360B1F6), I had to custom make both the Throttle and Mixture cable mounting brackets.
I have the AFP vertical throttle body (don't remember which one) but my memory has the throttle in the right side and the mixture on the left (from the pilots seated position).
 
I had this same issue and went with the AFP bracket ( didn't want to take the time to make my own). One thing I found is that if the throttle is on the left then the unit is backwards and the throttle and mixture would be moving backwards. You can see some pictures in the AFP documentation of the correct orientation. I had to move the fuel hose to the spider to between 3&5 from where it was between 1&3 to make it reach.

Right side with the mixture lever. As you can see the bracket won't work here.
This is the right side, with the mixture level lower forward. As you can see, the bracket's is not going to work.
 
I experienced the same issue when I first installed the engine (coming with FM-150 installed) on my RV10. To use Vans cable support bracket, I had to reverse the FM-150 so the fuel outlet is on the aft side, also need trim the bracket flange a bit to make some clearance to the throttle control arms. Then I used some aluminum angle to provide additional support for the mixture cable. The stock bracket won't provide support at the correct location (the threaded portion). My plane is flying now, all the controls work fine. I believe you can purchase a third party bracket kit if you don't want to deal with this hassle.

Mine is 180 degrees different for my 6A.
Fuel entry/exit to the servo is in the back.
I started with the AFP bracket set.
Differences with the 10 and 540.
I will try to remember to photograph and post mine...
 
It is very possible to make your own bracket. Mock it up in cardboard, cut it out of Home Depot steel, then use a vice, hammer, etc. to bend it to shape. It is a pretty easy thing to do.
