PSA - Don't use Loctite when assembling FlyLED landing lights.

Was assembling my FlyLED quads when I decided it would be a good idea to loctite the screws since they are inaccessible once everything is assembled. Well, like Loctite on the canopy, it's a bad idea. The Loctite completely decimated the plastic lens housing. Oh well, that's what I get for trying to get cute. Luckily, Flyboy Accessories had some spares that they are sending me, so a big thanks to them for fixing my screw up.

Chemical attack? or breakage upon removal?

The assembly manual for my FlyLED triple spots places heavy emphasis on the following note in the instructions:

"*DO NOT use threadlocker as most types will attack the plastic lens or the lens holder."

Oh man, you really had me second guessing myself. I would have felt real bad if the instructions specifically called out not to do that, but the printed instructions that came with my quad set don't have that warning.

edit: Of course, the instructions posted online do have the no thread locker warning. I must have an old version.

The on-line manual has the warning about using thread locker.
