I am curious how prevalent cracking of the landing gear mounts exists in the fleet. I have entered 1 on behalf of the Vans company aircraft called out in the service letter

Alternatively, maybe you can get the feedback from van’s… i think they have already asked this question to all -10 builders. Not sure if they would share the data or not.

Sorry, I misread and chose the “less than 750, no grass” option. I have not had any problem.

So I did speak with Kevin at Vans builder support.



In his words, extremely rare to see cracking. If flown off off hard surface, probably never happen.



He did not have the number of replacement weldments that have been sold.
