Pitot Tube Mount Length

Hi Folks:
I have a quick question for those that have already been there. I plan on using the Garmin GAP-26 heated Pitot tube. Is there any specific length of the mont that is requires on the 10 wing? Would the standard Falcon Gauge mount bracket from from Aircraft Spruce work OK? It's listed here: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/pages/in/pitot_accessories/10-02276.php

I just found the answer in the Garmin install manual online. This mount should be OK. If anyone has any advice/pitfalls to look out for though, I would be all ears. Thanks.

Read Tim Olson's write up on his web site myrv10.com. You may want to move from the standard location for the pitot to ensure it doesn't get in the way of the tie downs. Tim does a good job of describing the situation.
