Panel PTT switch install

On page 42NIS-20, step 2, it tells you to “Discard the hex nut and star washer included with the switch, then attach the switch to the F-00144 as shown”. Figure 1 just shows the location and not any additional hardware. I see no other way that to use the original hex nut and star washer. What am I missing?

Mike, Are they referring to the backing nut and lock washer that adjusts the shaft length for different thickness of panel material? Switch body>back nut>star washer> panel>bezel nut>button. The instructions indicate to me you install the switch without the back nut and pull the switch body up against the back of the panel and then tighten the bezel nut down. Not sure I agree with that process but if shaft is short may be the only way to do it. JJR
