Ordering replacement pieces

Just a quick question about re-ordering parts. When you go to "the list" and order a replacement part like R-1015, is that generic to all rudder stiffeners? Can you always assume that the part number you are replacing is always the exact same from the list. Didn't know if there is a model number specific list?

Thanks

The part number tells you which airplane it's for. For an RV-10, all the model-specific parts start with a 10. So there is only one List, and it has all the parts (or most of them, anyway) available for any airplane.

If you scroll around, you'll find parts for the RV-3 right on up. For example, C-302 is a welded aluminum frame for an RV-3.

Sometimes, parts are builder-fabricated from stock. In those cases they'll show the generic part number like AA3-032X3/4X3/4X4', which is a stiffener angle formed from .032 2024-T3. Chapter 5 explains the part numbering system.

Thats mostly true but there are parts from other models used on the RV-10 (and other models). So you could have a part number from an RV-6 on your RV-10 (rear seats come to mind). Just search for the part number called out for in the plans and it will fit. :-)
