Old vs New Stewart Warner Fuel Senders

1) I ended up with two of the old style fuel senders (wire wraps around the float) and two of the new fuel senders (wire goes straight inside the float). I'm thinking it's best to use the same style on both of my fuel tanks. Which is better?

2) I don't notice any difference on the bracket/switch portion of this, I just notice a difference on the float. It's important because one of my pairs of senders I previously mixed together. So I know I have a left and right bracket, and I know I have an old and new style float, but I don't know which float belongs to which bracket.

(may be a dumb question but I'm about to start building my first ever set of fuel tanks so I only have limited knowledge about the senders)

I had just talked to Vans about this for my RV14. I was told they could not get two of the same style. Sounded like something about inventory from Stewart Warner? I was told to not worry about it and build on.

From my limited understanding the floats and senders are the same but there is a left & right which changes the horizontal angle. On the 14 they ended up being identical to each other.

If you buy new SW's from AutoZone or the like you will get the style that goes through the middle of the float vs the Shepard's hook. No reason the rods can't be mixed and matched, though. The left and right are different part numbers on the 14, I would assume they are also L & R on the 10.
