Oil tank bracket question

It seems that there was an update to the oil tank bracket between my printer plans and new plans. I have the steel reinforcement and the template but wanted to confirm that I need to cut off the correct portion of the bracket as seen in these pictures. Has anyone done this and can confirm? The instructions with the steel pieces weren’t overly clear but appeared to say cut at the end of the template. The sharpie lines are the end of the template where I think it needs cut. Thanks
