I'm as green as one can be, in regard to building a project. I'm starting off with Van's Toolbox Kit before I commit to a RV build. The kit is ordered, now it's time to get the necessary tools. I'm starting this thread so I can get some input from you more experienced folks on specific tools that Vans says are required for this simple kit build.
First of all, I'm looking at rivet guns. From what I've read so far, it seems that if I'm going to buy only one, the 3x is the way to go. True?
I understand the Sioux rivet gun is higher quality than others. Is this generally true?
I'm partial to Cleveland Aircraft Tool, and see they offer only the Sioux 2x (not the Sioux 3x). Why would they not carry the Sioux 3x? (it may simply be because they don't want to carry it ... but figured I'd ask, in case I'm missing something ... other suppliers carry the Sioux 3x).
Brace yourself for a lot of elementary questions. I can get carried away with the details sometimes.
Thanks
