Hello VAF!
I'm Ken and my wife Stephanie and I are building an RV14 in the Medford area in Southern Oregon.
We've toured ShowPlanes shop in MFR, and already used VAF to acquire a DRDT2 from a local here in the Ashland area. This community has been really awesome, and we're looking for more local builders, owners and mentors.
I've reached out to a local EAA tech councilor, and we started this journey with a lesson from Tim Mix in Mulino to build the practice airfoil. That experience was incredibly beneficial and gave me the confidence to start banging away.
I've completed the VS and rudder, and I'm in the process of final assembly for the HS, but I definitely need a helpful eye to make sure everything is on track, and that I'm not creating bad habits.
My other bonus feature is that I work in the Seattle area several days a month, so any builders up there that could use an extra set of hands or want to share any experiences I'd love to drop by and see what you have going on.
Thank you for reaching out, I'm excited to hear from y'all and share my experiences along the way.
Ken
