I’d never heard of these engines until recently. The Bede has a new build center with build assist, and MWFly is the engine choice. According to the MWFly website, there is a turbocharged option between, 180, 210 & 240 horsepower. All three engines have a dry weight of 222 lbs., but the TBO decreases with horsepower (the 180 hp is 2,000 hrs, the 210 hp is 1,800 hrs, and the 240 hp is 1,500 hrs).
Apparently they’ve been around for some time, although the turbo engines are new. There’s a video of an aircraft called the BushCaddy from 11 years ago, and in that video it’s stated that the engine had been around for 8 years. So how would the 180 or 210 horse engines do in an RV? It seems like they’re light enough to improve useful load, but heavy enough not to be out of CG. Does anyone know about these engines?
I also remember them stating the engines are water-cooled. Here’s a list of pricing: https://www.mwflyamericas.com/web/c...5c06c1454096c257491d57ae8d9456b&download=true
