Hi, I'm the author/writer of the MSFS RV12 Eriselle mentions, thanks for posting it on here as I wasn't able to get on for the last few years.
Finally got a new account setup. I lost my email from the account I used when building and for a couple of years could never seem to register for a new account
About me, I built an RV12 about 6 years ago (when I got it flying) but had to sell it soon after due to money issues, I missed it so much I decided to try and create one in Microsoft Flightsim 2020. I'm not a business or a flight sim developer so it took me a long time to get to where it is now (I probably have more hours in building this than the real thing) .
I tried to make it as realistic as possible in the flight characteristics although MSFS 2020 doesn't make it easy. i.e. You put in all the data (sizes, drag, forces, moments etc) and flight sim decides how it will fly. As a lot of info wasn't available (how many here have ever heard of the Oswald Factor, which it wanted

) I did have to guess at some of them but I got it close(ish) to the real thing. I still need to work on getting the p-factor right and also the prop needs some tuning (it seems to drive the engine too much on a closed throttle).
As I don't have a real aircraft to compare to anymore please let me know if it doesn't feel right or if something needs tweeking, I'm going on 6year old memories (plus I only got to put about 50hours on the aircraft) and my memory isn't that great.
I was originally going to stick rigidly to the uk spec for the aircraft (i.e. plans only). I have softened that approach a little now.
I have added things like flap positions indicator (in the sim it is harder to just look down at the handle than real life) and parking brakes (the sim would creep the aircraft when stationary for people without rudder pedals it was a pain.
I have now also added a duel S3X setup (still in beta testing) and removed the manifold gauge on the screen (does anyone use that IRL?)
At some point I also want to revisit the model as it is quite a low poly count (which I thought was being smart but compared to the big jets I shouldn't have worried about it) and also add some petina so it doesn't look so much like a toy model.
As this is only a hobby and it takes me a while to do stuff it does mean updates might be slower than with a real company. I never really expected anyone else to be interested in it so it has just kind of sat in the state it was in for the last year but as people are using it I'll try and update it to make it feel as close to the real thing as possible.
