Recently completed the installation of a new MZ-30L as a standby alternator on my -14A. A high quality product that worked flawlessly upon testing. I set it up as recommended - unit is always on, however in standby mode. Once it detects low voltage on main bus (ie main alt failure), it jumps on line to carry the load. Bill provided great after-sales support and was available to quickly answer any questions that I had. Probably the best $1K i spent on this plane.
