Mobil 1 ATF brake fluid regret?

Lots of threads here about using Mobil 1 ATF, and most of the comments seem positive. I'm curious whether anyone has had any negative experiences with it. I'm asking because I already have a large jug in my garage and would prefer to use it instead of MIL-PRF-83282 if there are no significant downsides.

Large jug....? Has it been opened? Very important to keep moisture out of the brake system. It doesn't boil off like in an automatic transmission.

Given the decades of successful use of Mobile 1 ATF as a brake fluid in experimental aircraft, I doubt you will hear of a bad experience that can be attributed directly to the fluid. I’m betting that the responses will be echos of the positives above.
A few might chime in knocking it as not being a proven aviation hydraulic fluid that is certified and bonafide…

It does smell bad if there is a leak. However, I have had no problems using Mobil 1 ATF for the last 17 years.

Hopefully not too much of a thread drift. I need to bleed my brakes and am running low in 5606 fluid. An I mix the ATF with 5606? Thanks!

Might be a good time to comply with the Vans Service letter about installing the upgraded brake caliper O rings and using the recommended MIL-PRF-83282 hydraulic fluid. Granted it’s not an SB but a service letter and you have an experimental so no requirement to do anything, just a good idea.
