I want to dash over the border and do a stop and go just so I can say I landed in Mexico. What do I nee3d to know, fill out?

If you plan on going in an experimental, I don't think you are allowed, unless you get explicit permission (Mexican Gov.).

Experimental Aircraft Flying To Mexico

What is the status of flying experimental aircraft to Mexico? I would like to fly my RV-14A to Cabo to do some fishing. My understanding was flights in experimental aircraft are not allowed. I am wondering if there have been any changes.

You can land at Jacumba (L78) and walk to the border. It is literally right next to the runway.

Read this first. It's been a few years since experimental aircraft have been allowed to fly into Mexico. Hopefully things are starting to change.

Here in Texas, we don’t go near that border even on our side. I was based on the border and worked a lot in Mexico, but no more.

Yeah...fly your private plane into Mexico. What could possibly go wrong?

FWIW I have flown my plane to Mexico, and all Central America, many times and nothing has ever gone wrong. You will be surprised at how strict security is around those airports. Safer than many airports in the US. Too many stereotypes out there from people that have never done it.

But, experimental airplanes have not been authorized into Mexico for several years now. Eventually it will change but not any time soon.
