I have a YIO-320-D1A with FlyEFII Throttle Body. I ordered a McFarlane Vernier-Assist Throttle Cable and in my order I expressed concerns about where their support threads were in relationship to the stock Van's throttle cables. "Oh no problem, I'm very familiar with Van's RV-9 cables." RIGHT!
The cable I received has the threaded area about 2 to 2.5 inches aft of where Van's cable's threads are located. Thus, the stock Support Plate that mounts between the sump and throttle body needs to be modified to have an extension further aft to permit use of the McFarlane cable.
Has anyone run into this problem, and if so what did you do to remedy the situation?
