Matco Wheel Crack...

A friend has just completed his 14th Annual Condtion Inspection on his RV-12 and found a crack in outside half of Matco main wheel hub. I have done an AI search to see if this is a common problem and was shocked to learn that it is. Has anyone else experienced this on their RV-12?

I've seen this on other LSAs and EABs; often, side loading and underinflation can cause it. Once due to landing with a flat and taxing to get off the runway.
