This applies to only the classic RV12. (Gasolator located on firewall).
Installing safety wire on the 4 screws is time consuming. Instead used #10 Nord-Lock washers to secure the screws. After 150hr. flight time, the screws maintained torque. Can be obtained from McMaster Carr pn 91812A227, Grainger pn 12443. So far, seem to be working well.
