What do most of you use to finish the main landing gear with, to prevent corrosion and pitting in the aluminum?

Priming and painting for the mains. Front gear leg was powder coated.
Had mine painted with the rest of the plane. Corrosion in Phoenix is not a big issue due to climate.

Yes, but living on the West Coast lies a large Pacific Ocean, full of sodium and chlorine. The breeze has been know to blow that corrosive stuff inland, where it can condense on metal and wreak havoc and pitting.
Corrosion is not a issue in Calif, and if you have a hangar then for sure its not a issue.
Paint it or powder coat it and you will never have a problem in Calif.
