KAI page 38iS/U-11, step 3 calls for fuel tank sealant to bond the rubber parts. I don't have any open Pro-Seal at the moment. Is there some reason that RTV can't be used instead? There's no fuel or high heat in this area.

Just as a guess, I'd expect that the durability of RTV is significantly less than tank sealant. If 'twere I, I'd use tank sealant.
