SO I the kit called for cutting a 6 1/2 piece off to attach to the same emp bulkhead that has the rudder cable guide. I didn't grab one of the shorter J stiffeners by accident I trimmed it off the longer which needs to be 90+ inches for the side skin stiffening. Problem is Vans is showing this out of stock so not telling how long it will be.
Since its the very end of the stiffener and its currently at 89 inches this would only make it less than 1.5 inches short. My thought was at the end towards the tail these just rivet to the skin and touch nothing that I could make the extension and or leave it short?

If you've watched Plane Lady's videos on youtube, she went through a similar scenario. You can review her solution here but ultimately I'm sure a call to Vans would be appropriate:
 
I'm pretty sure you can order J Stiffener from Aircraft Spruce. I'll let somebody else confirm or deny that.

I live very close to an airport in central Georgia and I have a spare piece. I figured I'm close enough to you that it's worth mentioning.

Thanks im over in huntsville alabama, would be nice time to have a plane and fly over! I will keep it in mind.

What she did is what I was thinking about doing, plus its just the one and mines not riveted yet. That would be a nightmare doing this afterwards.
