Looking for RV12 Mechanic in Omaha, NE Area

Hello,

I need help finding a mechanic in the Omaha, NE area who can perform a condition inspection on an RV-12 I recently purchased. It’s a 2012 Van’s RV-12 with a Rotax 912ULS currently located at Blair, NE.

I am looking for a mechanic who can perform the condition inspection so a ferry pilot can fly the airplane home. The last condition inspection was completed in early 2024, and the airplane has been sitting for close to two years. Airplane is in good condition, however, the engine is running rough.

There do not appear to be any mechanics at the field with Rotax experience, so I decided to turn to this forum for help. If there are any A&Ps in the area, or nearby, who can help get the airplane back in the air, please reach out or send me recommendations.

Having not been run for 2 years, I suspect the engine roughness is due to injectors being gunky. A LSR or an A&P can do the inspection but I would look for a Rotax trained individual to address the engine. The good news this is a 12 so you can easily pull the wings and trailer the plane to somewhere to get the right kind of help.
 
ULS has carbs, could be gunk in the bowls or floats that are heavy. I’d put in a fresh set of plugs for good measure. The-12 is easily trailerable. I’m just a little too far away to help.
