Hi guys
Our 2 year old RV14 got hit on ground by a Robin. The Robin taxied into our plane while we were refueling. Don‘t ask how, I don‘t understand it either
The rudder and elevator got destroyed and we are already building new ones. The bigger issue is, that the wing of the Robin slid under our wing, tore off the pitot (made a small crack in the bottom skin), put some dents in the lower front part of the wing and also the fuel tank which is leaking now. With the insurance we agreed on replacing the wing. I know it‘s doable to replace the leading edge and the fuel tank, maybe stop drill the crack and put a doubler on, but we had a „perfect“ plane and expect to rebuild it to that standard again, without drilling out skins and replacing them...
As lead times are high, I thought I give it a try in this forum, maybe someone had a similar issue with the other wing and has a left wing lying around in the workshop that we could buy
Anyone in Europe (we are based in Switzerland) has a left wing and fuel tank that he/she is not using and Is willing to sell it?
