I have updated my standard pitot to a Dynon and will be plumbing the pitot line out of the Dynon back to the original pitot hard line. That line terminated on a bulkhead fitting that served as the pitot mount. I think that’s standard for other models.
This bulkhead fitting served as a good anchor point for the hard pitot line, it needs support there.
I have a bulkhead T fitting and plan on tying the Dynon pitot line to the fitting on run and capping the bottom where the stock pitot would normally mount.
I don’t like that it will unnecessarily stick down a ways below the wing. The cap could also be a potential source of a leak.
I could cut off the fitting just below the nut and close it off with epoxy, but, if someone knows of a bulkhead T fitting that works like a 90deg. but passes though and can be secured to the existing hole let me know.
Hope all that verbage makes sense.
