Looking for a CFI to do transition training in an RV-6 / Atlanta, GA

Hey all,

I’ve just gone through the exciting process many of you have gone through. Which was buying an RV. I’m the proud owner of an RV-6 now.

The one problem is I need somebody to do the transition training in it. I had a guy lined up but he’s booked out pretty far.

My plane is hangared in the Atlanta area, I’m trying to find a CFI that is experienced with RVs and can do my transition training and make sure I’m proficient, comfortable, and safe. Not just to knock out the insurance requirement. I’m a CFI myself so I take that stuff seriously.

Does anybody know of any CFIs around Atlanta that have experience doing transition training in RVs?

Thanks for the referral! I called Ted, sadly he doesn’t do tailwheel transition training at the moment but he’s working on it.

Where are you? I'm down at KCCO, lots of RVs there and FFC if formation is your thang.

Kent Gorton at Mallards gave me mine transition training, lo these many moons ago. Not sure if he still does. www.kentgortonairsports.com

What airport. I’ll be at KRYY Cobb County Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. I’m a long time CFI with a lot of RV time. I could possibly give you a few hours. Do you need a TW endorsement also?
