Landing light cover gap

Has everybody gotten a tight fit of their landing light cover to the leading edge? I seem to keep getting a gap at the apex of about 0.050 inch. Is that acceptable or should I try again? Thanks!

Mine is the same. Used a very small amount of clear silicone inside the leading edge (invisible to the eye) to seal the gap.

I have a gap too. Spoke to Vans and one suggested using a blow dryer to carefully heat up the lense while installed and push out as your heating it up. Use a clothe to press against the lense. This helped a little.
