Landing Gear Wear Plates

I'm changing out the spar in an RV12 that had a hard landing, and Van's preferred upgrade is to install the iS spar. It is a significant upgrade (way stronger!) and Vans sells an expensive kit with a lot of parts that come in a big box to do it. Unfortunately, for reasons no one can seem to tell me at Vans that box did not include a set U-01202A wear plates. The old wear plates are a different design and will not work with the new spar. Doh!

Unfortunately Vans is backordered on these and I need them now. I can fabricate them if anyone happens to know the material spec and would be willing to measure theirs. I'm assuming 4130? To be honest I can probably approximate the correct size from the pics and existing holes, I really just need to know the material spec. (I did ask Vans tech support but at the moment it seems to take them 3 days to reply and they didn't answer this question the first time I asked.)

Otherwise, if someone has a set that they don't need or won't be getting to in a while and would be willing to sell them, I'd be happy to pay extra for the hassle.

Have you called Van's? What I have learned recently is that the web site says "out of stock", but they sometimes do have a few left in stock. Or maybe they unallocate from one of the S-LSA builds where they have just stated collecting the parts. Regardless, 20% of the time I've been able to get the part if I call.

Calling is also the only way to place a backorder, since you can't do that from the web.

I did call, and in theory they had some and are sending them. However I have yet to receive a tracking number.

I was talking to tech support and they did give me the material spec. It's hardened post manufacturing, so that makes shop fabbing one a bit more difficult. (They have a heat treat oven at my old job but by the time I beg a favor off them I figured Vans would be back in stock.)
