There is an article in the April 2010 Kitplanes titled Designing Men ( I guess I should question the title) by MIke Manning who has 30 years experience in upholstery. It is the first of ? articles in a series on sewing or even gluing your own seat covers. I have long been an advocate of doing my own interior. It is a lot of work, but very rewarding. I read the article with avid interest. This months issue covers materials and equipment. Unfortunately the meat of the how to do it will be in a future issue. However, if you have ANY interest at all in doing your own seat covers, make certain that you get this months copy of Kitplanes (page 43-48). The neat thing about creating your own seat covers is that you can customize them to your airplane without additional cost although additional time is required.
