Some good news ahead for flyers in the northeast looking for a flyout .

The Berkshire Eagle (Pittsfield, MA) reports a terminal with a restaurant will be built in North Adams.

It's a great area and should be a very inviting stop for people.

It's also great to hear there are still communities willing to invest in general aviation ammenities.

The airport is in the middle of the "bowl" at the shoulder of Massachusetts' highest mountain (Mt. Greylock). In this image, Williamstown is closest to me, North Adams is off in the distance. From the west, about 4,000 feet gets you over the mountains east of Albany, NY, then just chop power and glide on in.
