Hi, Folks! I think I know what to do, but just wanted to be 100%.

I ordered the SB-000036-KIT a while back and I was going to install it, but I thought I'd use the latest version of the plans instead of the SB documentation. I noticed DWG 3 seemed to be updated to include the SB pieces so I figured the instructions would be more applicable me since my HS is still being worked on.

However, the lastest version of the plans calls for HS-00715E and HS00715F
After some searching, it looks like those pieces have been replaced by the latest version of the SB. (the one that I have the kit for)
So the DWG is updated but the plans are maybe lagging a bit behind.

So, it seems obvious but I should be using the SB documentaion and pieces in the SB kit and not relying on the plans, correct?

HS-00715E and HS-00715F are the parts from the initial (now obsolete) kit, https://store.vansaircraft.com/sb-00036-pp.html. They looked like this:

I had that kit ordered, and at the time, Vans replaced my order with the current version (REV2), which looks like the image you posted (with a separate HS-00716A doubler and "normal" looking hinge brackets).

I am a bit confused which version of the kit do you have, but https://store.vansaircraft.com/sb-00036-kitpp.html is the current version (there is also an earlier, non-powder coated version, but I think it's the same otherwise). The "old" version was available for a short period of time but Vans probably found something wrong with it, and replaced with REV2.

Oh yes! sorry for being unclear. The kit I have is the REV2 with the HS-00716A doubler and the HS-00717A Hinge bracket.

Follw the SB instructions, but as part of the build. The drawing I have shows the HS-716A but the instructions refer to the HS-715E, so I just follwed the SB instructions with reference to the plans drawings.
You sort of take in all the information and then apply what's relevant to the parts you have - the fun of building kit aircraft.

If you have parts like I posted above ("fancy" looking hinges), I would suggest asking builder's support if they are still acceptable -- I think, there was something wrong with these fancy looking hinges, and they quickly replaced them with the normal looking ones plus the doubler.
