Hello,
I am rigging up an oil cooler ala Showplanes, and at this point, the upper edge of the oil cooler is about .100" away from the cowl at the closest point. For reference this is about 5 inches forward of the firewall and the skybolt fasteners holding the cowl on.
Lets hear any war stories about how this is going to hit or break or? I don't have a gut feel for how much things move here, mounted rigid(ly) to the engine mount and that close to the cowl/firewall interface (rather rigid spot).

Alternatives involves yucky dipstick tube mods. Thanks in advance, Matt
