ACS and the AN386-4-13 Taper Pin

Here's the latest from Aircraft Spruce (ACS) regarding purchase of an AN386-4-13 taper pin:

ACS does not currently stock this taper pin.

Currently, ACS's minimum AN386-4-13 order is 8 taper pins at $10.50 each.

Yes, Charlie, you managed to get one via special order (the ACS counter guys looked up your order), but your order was evidently an anomaly. You Got Lucky! ACS had a previous order for 6, and evidently they had a couple of extras - - you got one, and the ACS West counter guys could not determine what happened to the other one.

Right now, I'm working in conjunction with the ACS West counter guys (Joe, Tad, and Bill) to try to convince ACS management to purchase AN386-4-13 pins in quantity and stock them for the RV community. If ACS does decide to purchase in quantity and stock them, I don't think the pins will be cheap (probably still $10.50 or more each). On the other hand, they'll be in-stock for immediate order and available individually instead of via a minimum quantity of 8. Stay Tuned!
