Good afternoon everyone. For those of you that haven't seen our website update awhile back, an item has come to our attention regarding the Firewall Forward hoses we supply to VANS as it relates specifically to the RV14/14A.

The VA-119 hose assembly has traditionally been an inexpensive non-firesleeved manifold pressure line which we do not supply to VANS. On other aircraft models this is used as a manifold pressure line and builders have often replaced it with our PMAG install hose kit or a custom hose to move the transducer over to the manifold pressure block.

On the RV14/14A, the Oil pressure hose call out is for a VA-119 which is supplied as part of the Firewall forward hose kit. Since VANS doesn't use a unique part number for the oil pressure hose on the 14/14A this is the assembly that you will receive as it serves a dual purpose across different aircraft models.

For those builders who are wanting their oil pressure hose to be an Integral firesleeve conductive teflon assembly, we offer it on our RV14 FWF hose package page as kit #15.

From the link above click "RV14/14A Firewall forward hose kits"

That will change the oil pressure hose to the same type of assembly supplied by VANS for the rest of the firewall forward hoses.

Please reach out to Tom or I with any questions.

Happy Building!
Steve
