I have two Fuel tanks, and I dont understand why....

HI all,

Ive got a 2011 RV12 EAB, I sort of inherited it. Ive got two fuel tanks, and im not dure why. I have one that has as window on the side that i think was the orginal and then one with a mechanical guage on the top and no window thats currently installed. Ive delveoped a leak in the installed tank and im removing to reseal. But I'm thinking of installing the original tank while I complete the work but I'm unsure as to why the original tank designed was removed. Is there some safety reason it was redesigned?

I replaced my original fuel tank with the new style. The site gauge, in my opinion, is worthless. The new tank, with the mechanical gauge, is much better. Has the old style tank been installed? Maybe it leaks also.
