Hi everyone,
My RV4/Lyc 0-360 has always started on just a few revolutions, usually on the 1st or 2nd turn and never past 4. Then all of a sudden I have to crank it multiple times. For reasons I won't go into now, I suspect the 20 year old shower of sparks could be the culprit. What is the simplest way to test it?
Can I simply remove the two wires that connect it to the starter circuit, and using a battery charger, add power to the shower of sparks while still mounted on the firewall and listen for the famous 'buzz'? If i hear it, is it definitely functioning?
thanks!
