here's what i put together for sb requiring an egress tool.i used a piece of tailspring, a couple washers from ace and a piece of round bar stock. it weighs about 1.5 lbs. i would rather model after what hopefully the military has tested before it 100_0732.JPGapproved rather than what amazon offers.

That's great. Put some hockey tape around the handle and cut a slot in the backside of the blade just wider than your canopy thickness to enable breaking out pieces once you have a hole. Use two handed with the palm of the second hand cupping the end of the handle.

My AliExpress hammer arrived... Despite the photo of an all metal unit, what arrived had only one piece of metal in it... The point on the hammer face. Everything else was injection molded plastic. Returned, and reported the seller for scamming. Aliexpress refunded the same day.

I used a 1" long x .875 dia 303 stainless bar and turned this out on my Southbend 9A in about 30 mins. I pressed it into the bottom of my pax control stick along with a dab of blue loctite.

Very nice but it’s no GERBER GEAR LMF II INFANTRY SURVIVAL KNIFE. Only $120! You too can win in the Overkill Olympics!!🤣

There are MONSTER Threads on this subject, in these here VAF forums, that are excellent.

i did put a notch in the ''blade'' for pulling plexi. very good idea. and there is no edge on the blade.
today i was looking for a mounting spot in my 12 and it occurred to me that no spot on the floor would be reachable while hanging upside down. i think i am going to mount on the fuselege side.
