Hole In Cabin Heat Divider Rubbing on Nose Gear - How to Repair or Replace?

2024 RV-12iS, Condition inspection found Tee aft of heat muff has hole (cabin heat). Aluminum part, weld repair or replace (+$212).
Clearance has to be increased. I know heat muff has history of getting loose. Repair may include heat muff modification.
Advise appreciated.

I had the problem of finding my heat muffin apart every time I removed my cowl. I finally modified it by adding additional FF-00090L tie rods to keep it secured. I’ve had no problems since with a good 400 hrs on the modified installation.
