Hole Edge Distance: a problem?

In fabricating and match drilling the Canopy Attach Angles exactly as given in the directions, I discovered that one of the rivet holes ends up providing far less than the usual 1-? diameter minimum edge distance (photo).

I searched the archives and found no mention of this issue. I'd be interested in getting some learned feedback from the brain trust. I also sent an email to the Mothership, but being a holiday, I don't expect to hear back from them immediately.

My thoughts are to re-do the brackets. Easy enough to get some more angle and make one end a bit longer (yeah, ACS is closed today, too). What sayest y'all?

Here is a picture of mine taken in 2009. Hard to see for sure, but it looks the same as yours.

At 250 hours, canopy is still on the aircraft. Just now doing an annual inspection, no cracks or other distress is in evidence.
