High Oil Pressure

My IO-360 has fuel pressure that indicates around 28-30 psi normally and 30 psi with fuel pump on. This morning with the fuel pump on, the fuel pressure quickly climbed above 32, I shut it off almost immediately and it was near 40 and climbing fast. Any thoughts on where to start troubleshooting?

Oil or fuel? Thread title says "High Oil Pressure"

No entirely clear if this was due to the electric boost pump (which kind?) or the engine driven pump. Can you clarify?

My first suspect would be the sensor.
