It was definitely a climb prop! Gave near 2000 fpm at sea level and 191 mph at 6500' at 2700 rpm. It's 160 hp O320. We need a little more bite!Just noticed the pitch is marked 66, thats real low for an RV unless its an O290
A 68 dia x 72 pitch Performance prop give 205 to 210 at 2700, typically with O320 160hpIt was definitely a climb prop! Gave near 2000 fpm at sea level and 191 mph at 6500' at 2700 rpm. It's 160 hp O320. We need a little more bite!
Not one of ours but looks like possibly a Props Inc. prop. Def a climb prop. Now that you have the Sensenich GA, you get to pick your own adventure!Multi laminate would suggest Warnke or one of several derivatives. Now performance propellor, new owner just a few months ago Fairings etc??? now owns rights.
Aymar-Demuth? Looks similar, but it's been along time since I've seen one up close.Need VAF help to identify make of this propellor please. Just replaced it with Sensenich GA prop. Please advise many thanks. Rick
Any help is appreciated! It is not noted anywhere on the propellor and previous owner remembers only that is came from prop builder in Oregon.Aymar-Demuth? Looks similar, but it's been along time since I've seen one up close.
Correction to my response, it gave me 191 mph at 3150 rpm at 6500'. It was a climb prop for sure!A 68 dia x 72 pitch Performance prop give 205 to 210 at 2700, typically with O320 160hp
Um........is there a red line on your tachometer..........? Was the prop listed on the "Equipment List"?Correction to my response, it gave me 191 mph at 3150 rpm at 6500'. It was a climb prop for sure!
Yes, I must have missed that when I pushed throttle all the way forward...and it pushed me back in the seat at the same time...red line is at 2700. I pulled it back to 2700 and decided to order Sensenich GA for Keri Mi. And now at pitch pin 2 setting it will do 214 mph at 2650 at 1500'. But only for a few seconds. She is a fast little lady!Um........is there a red line on your tachometer..........? Was the prop listed on the "Equipment List"?
No info inside the center hole either. Good prop just not enough bite. Thanks, RickIf not a Performance Propellers who else makes props with that many laminations?
Any written inside the read center hole?
I see. The three Performance Propellers I have all have specs inside that hole. So probably not a Performance Propellers. No info inside the center hole either. Good prop just not enough bite. Thanks, Rick
That's what I will say on advertisement. Thanks, RickFor everyone’s reference PropMan is the previous owner of Performance Propellers….. so take his word when he says it’s not one of his !
I’ve flown several of his props on my RV-4 and they are smooth as silk. Oh and fast too ! ( Thats before I went to the dark side and installed a 3 blade CS Whirlwind.)
PS my guess is a Props Inc.
