Note to prospective RV-12 builders: Good news, blind rivets are easier to drill out than AN rivets.
Hate to admit it, but...I did the same thing in roughly the same place. Not being able to get the Cleco pliers on the misplaced Cleco and not wanting to drill out some freshly set pop-rivets, I used a Dremel tool to carefully cut off the pointy end of the Cleco that was poking out through the skin. I then used a magnet on a stick to retrieve the errant Cleco body from the bowels of the fuselage. Lesson learned!
