GPS-175 no vertical guidance

Our -175 is not showing vertical guidance on the our G5. New install. Expired database.

Any thoughts?

Is the system wired and configured like shown in this drawing from the G5 manual?



Approach vertical guidance is provided over ARINC 429, so that wiring and configuration are the first places to look.

In configuration mode, you should see a green check mark like this on the ARINC 429 configuration page indicating it is receiving this data from the GPS 175.



Also make sure that the G5 software is up to date with V8.00.

Will it not work if there is an expired database.

It should still work fine with an expired database.
