I decided to paint my RV-10's interior before installing the interior. Glad I did. It came out fantastic and NO MESS! I had heard about the new aircraft paint shop near me, that specializes in painting experimental aircraft. I talked to the owner, Marlin, who as it turns out absolutely loves RV's. I don't live too far away from Springfield, MO where his new state-of-the-art aircraft shop is located. Marlin set up a time for me to bring him my RV-10's interior pieces that needed paint, and he painted them for me. Wow! I was absolutely impressed with his paint shop. If you're in the mid-west and can get to Marlin's new paint shop in Springfield, MO, he'll be glad to set up a time for you to bring your interior pieces for painting too. He would much prefer to paint interior pieces before your interior is finished, instead of having to mask off your interior and have to deal with getting over-spray on avionics and upholstery after your plane is finished. I made a friend for life when I met Marlin. You can call him at 417-988-7866, and tell him that Dale sent you. You can also check out his website at www.FulltronAviation.com I shot some pics of my interior pieces at Marlins paint shop, I'm not the greatest photographer, but they can show you at least a little bit.
