General Aviation License Plate

The state of Florida has a general aviation license plate available for pre-order. I would've liked to seen an RV depicted on it rather than certified aircraft given that it was pushed through by an EAA chapter. Do other states have GA license plates available?

North Carolina doesn't, but if you worked at Piedmont Airlines, they have one for that, so I have 3 planes on my plate (sort of) Piedmont Speedbird, Wright Flyer and the RV-4.

Yes but as of 13 January we still need 2870 people to prebuy before it gets produced.

In fact there is another aviation plate that’s also waiting for the same process and ahead on the sign ups as of now.

My brother in law worked for Piedmont at LGA in the 80s or 90's, he loved that place, US air not as much

Virginia’s artwork is meh, but points for trying:

I like the one for my hometown NAS better:

The Stearman and Mt. Rainier look great. I was going to get the plate until I saw the cost.. so far off the scale I couldn't believe it. Simply outrageous.
How much do they want? Colorado is $50 initially to replace the plates, then $25 a year.........

I just place my order. I tried to do it not long after it was first announced but the ordering process was not working (or I was just being dense).
The ordering process was simple and straightforward today.

WA State
40 Initial purchase, 30 annual renewal , 72.75 to transfer current registration.
That doesn't sound outrageous to me. The 72 bucks to transfer is probably the same for *any* transfer, 40 initial cost isn't horrible, and 30 a year to keep it is in the noise, really.

I guess the Nevada plate is for historical vehicles as it is no longer called Reno Air Races and is no longer in Nevada.
