Cold front a couple of days back pushed all the dust and haze out of the area, so Thursday morning there was not a cloud in pretty much the entire state of Texas.
I used the opportunity to fly my RV for the first time in 20 days. Out to Bridgeport to get gas. Fingers stayed well clear of the autopilot button, and once some open farmland was found ……a little light acro.
I think every student pilot in North Texas was in the air. And just by chance I had the privilege to take the runway 30 seconds after a young lady did her first solo takeoff. “Congratulations ma'am” was added to the end of my transmission when leaving the pattern.
Mental gyros realigned.
