Garmin Oil Pressure Sensor Replacement

I replaced my old Kavlico P4055-150G oil pressure sensor with the updated P255-150G-E4A.

The G3X config menu doesn't have the P255-150G-E4A as an option to select.

Am I correct in assuming the system will sense the new P255-150G-E4A as equivalent to the configured P4055-150G menu option?

I haven't run the engine yet.

One would think that to be the case, but you can call Garmin tech support (G3Xpert) in the morning and they can confirm.

Perhaps I am mistaken, but I don't recall seeing the Kavlico/Sensata P255 sensors listed in any Garmin documentation or service bulletins.

Nevertheless, one can see from the datasheets that the P255 and P4055 are functionally identical from an electrical interface perspective.

Now I'm not sure where I found the reference but I'd read that the P255-150G-E4A was equivalent to the Garmin GPT 150G & Kavlico P4055-5020-4.

Update: Kavlico P255-150G-E4A appears to work just fine.
