Garmin GTN-650 GPS message

Is there a way to clear a message on my GTN-650 GPS that I believe may be a false message caused by my buffoonery? While taxing out I got a CO detect warning on my Flight Data Systems GD-40 CO detector. I had just changed the oil and could smell oil burning off the exhaust pipes (I thought I cleaned them but will do a better job next time). In a flash of knuckle-headed genius, I cycled my avionics switch off then back on in about a second. I wanted to reset the CO detector to determine if it was a real or false alarm. What I managed to do is screw up my GTN 650 GPS. I lost wind readouts and closest airports for that leg, and got a message ?GTN 650 needs service?. On all subsequent flight those functions returned but I still have the message. Is there a way to reset the message to see if it will stay off? If the message returns I will send it in for a checkout.
Thank you
Bob

Go into the setup page (hold home while powering up) then:
GTN Diagnostics
Error Log
Clear the errors and see if that doesn't take care of it.
