Garmin G3X Touch experimental and certified

Hello, I have a GDU450 with a GMU11+GSU25C+ autopilot system in my experimental plane. I get the opportunity to purchase a certified GDU460 from a totalled aircraft (P/N 011-02920-05). Can this one be added to my panel and become the main PFD of my system?

It will work fine, all you need to do is update it so you're not stuck on the old software that store-bought airplanes are locked into!

Not to be a downer but if the totaled aircraft was involved in a fatality, I don't think Garmin will repair it in the future if something goes amiss. (Hopefully not the case)
