Just wondering if the GA-26 antenna can just be placed on the glareshield, could it just as easily be placed inside the Aerosport overhead console with velcro? It would be used as the backup GPS source for my PFD GDU 460. Using the GA37 for for my GTN and XM antenna. It will be mounted exterior aft of the cabin top.

Yes, a GA26 on the glare shield works just fine and my GA37 is on top of the cabin between the doors. Disclaimer: I’m running a non-touch G3X system with GDU 37Xs but I don’t see why it would make a difference with a Touch GDU 470 based system.
